Oak Harbor Golf Club
201 Oak Harbor Blvd.
Opened to critical acclaim in 1992, Oak Harbor Golf Club has done nothing but improve ever since. Golf Digest gave it a nomination for ’’America’s Best New Course of 1992’’ and with good reason. The Lee Schmitt designed golf course is Pete Dye inspired. Schmitt makes good use of railroad ties and bulkheads around the many New Orleans bayou waterways that intersect the layout.
Sound strategy is always a premium on this championship Louisianna golf course layout. Danger lurks in the form of water that comes into play on 12 of the holes. The golf course is strategically laid out among the beautiful New Orleans bayou waterways.
Schmitt made great use of the historical railway remnants such as railroad ties and bulkheads, which reflects the charm and character indicative of Louisianna’s deep south. Oak Harbor Golf Club is an 18 hole championship layout worthy of its critical acclaim, rated Four Stars by ’’Golf Digest Places to Play.’’
Oak Harbor golf club has quickly earned a reputation for excellence in course conditioning and dedication to personal service. Come see why Oak Harbor golf club is the most talked about layout in the Deep South!
“Oak Harbor was easy to find and Jamey Clark and staff were wonderful to all of us. I would recommend them highly. We enjoyed the area of Slidell where Oak Harbor is located …the golfers were glad to be out of the city for a beautiful morning of golf!” – Linda Raub
