The Harvester Tournament Course, Keith Foster designed, is a course where golfers are welcomed with quality service and spectacular golf. The layout of the course will challenge the best golfers in the world (7,340 yards from the professional tees), but is playable enough for the average golfer to enjoy.
The site boasts many natural landscape features. A sixty-acre lake and smaller ponds create both scenic and challenging golf shots. Natural wetlands and densely wooded areas remain virtually untouched to preserve the natural habitats of wildlife present on site. Striking and extreme elevation changes of up to 110 feet (uncommon in most of central Iowa), allow for an exciting and original golf course design.
The Tournament Course covers 300 acres of ground (110 acres is “disturbed” turf, and the remainder is natural). The course is covered with native grasses and fescue areas, bluegrass for the rough, and bent grass for the tees, fairways and greens. The key elements of the design include its big scale (the course fits the vastness of the site), box tees, flat sand traps, large greens (an average of 7,500 square feet), and excitement for the player (risk and reward).
The Harvester Golf Club offers a state-of-the-art practice facility, which includes a double-ended driving range (approximately 300 yards), elevated tees on both ends, target greens within the fairway, a chipping green, two putting greens and sand traps for bunker shots.
The Harvester Tournament Course will be maintained with excellent care at all times. The course will be in top condition each and every day, not just for special events and tournaments.
The Harvester Golf Club is located on the east side of Highway 330, between 330th Street to the north and 340th Street to the south.
