|Wildfire - Faldo Course
JW Marriott Wildfire Golf Club is an upscale daily fee facility. It touts two picturesque 18-hole courses, situated in the rugged Sonoran Desert, each with its own distinct personality.
The Faldo Championship Course, which plays up to 6,846 yards, sits on a 174-acre site and offers a slight variation from the typical desert-theme courses. It features generous fairways, large Bentgrass greens and tee boxes.
The surrounding mountains and century-old saguaro cacti as well as 106 sand bunkers, reminiscent of the Australian sand belt courses, provide a spectacular setting for the golf course and golfing guests.
In addition, Wildfire Golf Club features a complete practice facility, including an all-grass driving range, putting and chipping greens, a green-side practice bunker and the state-of-the-art Global Positioning System (GPS) with CBS Sportsline Ticker in each golf car.
The resorts golf courses continue to be proud award recipients. Just after opening, The Arizona Republic selected the #2 hole on the Faldo Championship Course as one of the ultimate 18 holes in the Valley.
Wildfire Golf Club was most recently recognized with the 2006 Travel & Leisure Golfs Worlds Best Golf Resorts for family getaways and in 2006 Conde Nast Travelers annual survey of Top 100 Golf Resorts in North America, which was an added accomplishment on top of the Gold Tee Award from Meetings & Conventions Magazine.
