Opening to rave reviews in late 1999, Woodmont golf club was named The Best New Golf Course in Georgia in 2000 by Georgia Golf News. Owned by John Wieland Homes and Neighborhoods and managed by Affiniti Golf Partners, Woodmont is now known as one of the best golf experiences in the Atlanta area.
The course was designed by Robert Trent Jones, Jr., and is his only Georgia masterpiece. Woodmont has white sand bunkers, dramatic views, and plays around several lakes and streams. The clubhouse was designed by award winning architects Chapman and Coyle and is ideal for golf outing events, wedding receptions, and private parties.
Woodmont also offers many other amenities and services. Having been host to hundreds of special events and tournaments, we offer one of the most professional and most experienced golf outing programs in Atlanta. Our knowledgeable PGA staff is experienced in offering individual and group golf lessons for all skill levels.
Flanked by housing developments and forest outcroppings, the carefully manicured fairways generally allow a straightforward line of sight to the green, rarely forcing golfers to strike a blind shot. Hit the targets and gauge approach shots according to the pin placement, because certain greens revel in forcing a difficult third putt. The course plays 5,200 to 7,000 yards in length.
